UIC Anchorage Offices Open Today

All Anchorage offices are open as normal this morning. JBER and the School Districts have not announced any closures as well.  Please use caution when commuting to work today.  Also, as always, employees should assess their own personal safety in deciding to come to work and communicate with their supervisor.

UIC Anchorage Offices Closes Early Due to Freezing Rain

We will be closing all Anchorage-based offices early today due to the hazardous road conditions. All employees are encouraged to leave as soon as possible to avoid the heavy traffic and allow extra time for the commute home.  Please remember to check with your supervisor before leaving for the day.

There is currently freezing rain coming down, so please take extra caution when walking to your vehicle to avoid a slip or fall.    

The UIC Anchorage offices will reopen as normal on Wednesday, December 3rd unless further notification is provided. 

Anchorage Offices Closure

All Anchorage based office will be closed as of 10:30 am due to air quality levels reaching the unhealthy to very unhealthy category. UIC has made the decision to close all Barrow-based offices due to the snow and hazardous road conditions. Essential personnel are required to work during office closures if possible and all employees who are able to work from home should do so. UIC President/CEO, Anthony E. Edwardsen has made the decision to close all Anchorage-based offices early today, November 22, due to the hazardous road conditions. All employees are encouraged to leave at noon to avoid the heavy traffic and allow extra time for the commute home.  There is currently freezing rain coming down, so please take extra caution when walking to your vehicle to avoid a slip or fall.  

The UIC Anchorage offices will reopen as normal on Monday, November 25 unless further notification is provided.
